The Portable Hoops Guide FamilyThe Portable Hoops Guide was born out of my love for basketball. Well, let me rephrase that…my love of PLAYING basketball. After my wife and I had children, it was harder for me to get away from the house to play ball so I decided to put up a basketball goal in our driveway.

At that point, the only thing I knew was that I didn’t want an in-ground basketball goal. I figured we’d be moving in a few years and I was pretty sure that I wouldn’t want to leave my hoop!

That said, I started looking around online and if you’re reading this, then you already know that there are a ton of portable basketball system options such as pole types, backboard shapes and sizes, rim classes, etc.

To make a long story short…I didn’t really know enough about the basketball goals themselves to pick one out right away.
